A writer friend of mine encouraged me to start this blog. He said “If only one person reads something you wrote and it changes the trajectory of their day, isn’t it worth it?” I agree, so here goes….
I’ve been thinking a lot this week about all the miracles that occur in our lives every day. A lot of people call these miracles “coincidences”, but I don’t agree. I believe that our Heavenly Father loves us and watches over our every day lives. He knows the trials and obstacles that we are facing or are about to face and sends us the people and things that we need to help us to overcome them. Have you ever been having a really bad day and then received a phone call or an email from a friend that cheered you up and completely turned your day around? Isn’t that a miracle? Or have you ever just had a feeling that you should call or visit a friend and when you do you find out that they really needed your help or just needed someone to listen to them? Isn’t that a miracle too? I think that these are the best kind of miracles. I believe that being a part of performing a miracle for someone else is an even greater blessing than receiving one yourself. There are miracles all around us, every day. We are often too busy or too overwhelmed by the demands and stresses of every day life to recognize them…..
I think that if we can all slow down for just a few minutes each day we will recognize the miracles that are happening around us and better yet-be a part of performing them….

I live to make a miracle in someone else’s life everyday. That’s what makes me truely happy, is helping others. I had a job interview last week, and I felt so positive about it, that when I left and stopped by Arby’s for a drink, and a sandwich, that I paid for the meal of the person in line behind me. It totally shocked the employee at the window!! He asked me if I knew him and I said “no, I just want to do a good deed, he looks a hard worker, and I feel like I need to do this” and he said then I am going to do a good deed too, and he took $.75 off of the guys order for me. He kept telling me how great it was, what I was doing, and he told me he was going to tell the man behind me what I did. I said to him, “just tell him to have a nice evening.” I have never done anything this drastic before but I always try to help others when I can. I always hold the door, or carry something for someone, or give them a smile when I think they ay need one. Thank you Sandra for your reminders for daily Miracles. I live for them and watch for them all the time!

very good blog….when u read something like this u cant help but think of those times when u know that god was right there and that when he can he sends his angles or placing curves in our situations …think about the day of the okc bombing..if thad B hadnt wondered about something back at his house…he would have been part of the explosion…or the day travis needed his apendix removed and we had a pa visiting the branch who helped us know what was wrong with him…lots of things worked out just perfect for him that day…or sadly even the day tommy really could have taken his last breath jonny just happened to get him to the hospital just in time…the time as a kid that the scorpion wanted to share my pillow…or the day amy was at my house when lil coyt burned his feet so badly…my list of moments go on and on….thanks for reminding me of just how interfering in a great way my Heavenly Father truly is…(in a good way of course).

Sandy, I finally got around to this. Actually, I deleted it at first because I did not recognize snazersnazer but immediately afterwards you came to mind and so I dug it out of my trash box and pulled it up and read it. It is SPECIAL!
