Is it just me, or is time one of those concepts that is just really difficult to pin down? Why, for instance, does it seem like last Tuesday was ages ago but ten years ago seems like it was last Tuesday?

Why does time spent at work seem to move so much more slowly than time at home? Or why does the time seem to fly by when you’re trying to meet a deadline but move at a snail’s pace when you’re waiting for something exciting to happen.

Maybe, it has something to do with age….I remember when I was a little girl my mother always talked about how quickly the years seemed to pass. I couldn’t believe my ears. To me the four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas seemed like an eternity.

So, I guess time really is relative. It is relative to how many years we have been alive and it is relative to what we are doing or our perspective or attitude.

So, if time is relative based upon our perspective, if we change our perspective we can change how we view time….

So, the next time I feel that time is standing still, I will try and adjust my attitude or perspective. I will try to treasure each moment and remember to not wish my life away. The next time that I feel time is moving much too quickly, I will try to slow time down and remember to enjoy the journey.
